The Greek Theater

The theater was so big that it had at least a thousand seats all around like a semicircle. In the two endings there were the doors and the guards.

There was space for an orchestra down, near the seats. There were also a few steps up where Greek actors acted.

Greeks took time carving big masks out of marble stone to express what they felt and all the crowd could see it. Theaters were usually in cities and lots of people came to see the dramas. There was a very big theater in Athens. There were only male actors.
